Tiddalik Story Synopsis
Synopsis
Act 1.
Once upon a time in someplace nice everything was beautiful. The birds sang, the flowers sprang forth nourished by the rivers and rain... Then the frog got greedy. The animals and their eco-systems are introduced and the process of precipitation explained.
Act 2.
The frog starts consuming water, transforming the once fertile land into a barren lifeless desert. The distraught animals have to find a way to make the frog give up all that he has stolen. They decide on a laughing competition in which the audience can participate in trying to make the frog laugh. One by one they try pulling faces, cracking jokes, silly posing, until finally the antics of the goanna are so funny the frog wets himself.
Act 3.
The frog uncontrollably laughs, returning the flow of water to the land and regenerating the growth of plants and flowers which supports the eco-system. The snows melt from the mountain top, the rivers run, flowers bloom.
